All three scheduled matches are postponed..

The weather prospects are not good for the weekend....
Heavy rain throughout Friday night had the final say

As many people had expected, the overnight rain has put paid to all three games scheduled for Saturday 14 November.

The first team’s match at Aberystwyth Reserves was called off early on Saturday morning with CP Llanandras’ home game with Builth Wells going the same way soon afterwards.

Things were looking better for the Reserves and their home game against Penybont United as initially the Llanandras Park playing surface was holding up well, but more rain throughout Saturday morning put the game in doubt.

A pitch inspection at around 11.30am reported that things were still very much in the balance as there was one patch of the ground that was holding water (in the corner down by the tractor shed), but the rest of the pitch was fine.

Cue another heavy shower and the decision was taken to call off the game at this point as there was concern that, even if the wind that was cutting across the ground at the time did dry out the field to some degree, there could be lasting damage to the pitch if the game went ahead.
