Busy weekend lined up for all three teams

llanrhaedr_home_211109It’s Friday and, so far, Presteigne (or Corris for that matter) has not been mentioned on the shipping forecast, so we are hoping for far drier conditions than in recent weeks, and that all three scheduled matches will go ahead as planned.

The first team are due to take on Aberystwyth Reserves at Llanandras Park – Gareth Mansell is due to make his first appearance in a Presteigne shirt in that one following his move from Caersws.

As for the Reserves, they face a long trip to north Wales for their Emrys Morgan Cup third-round tie against Corris United from the Cambrian Tyres League second division.   For those of you who are not sure where Corris is (and I wasn’t..), then there is a link to a map as part of the preview of the game on the Reserves page of the site.

Mind you, Corris were probably wondering: ‘Presteigne.. where’s that?’ when they had to make the trip down here for their first-round tie against CP Llanandras.

As for CP Llanandras, they were originally due to be taking on Penybont United on the school field, but that has now changed to Hay St Marys Reserves due to Penybont’s cup commitments.   You are reminded that the kick off on the John Beddoes field will be at 2.00pm, otherwise it could get dark midway through the second half…

There are previews of all of these matches up on the respective teams’ pages on the site and the usual plea, if you are going to any of the games (especially, perhaps, the Reserves up at Corris), if you have a digital camera, all offers of photos would be welcome.

Please email them to the site for use in the match reports which we hope to have up on the site at some stage on Sunday or Monday, but it depends on just when I can extract the information from the managers.
