Presteigne Reserves are through to the semi-finals of the Bucknell Cup as a result of last night’s 1-0 home win over Penybont United.
Prior to the game, the clubs agreed to doubling up the fixture so that it covered both the league match and the Bucknell Cup first-round tie.
The cup tie was originally due to be played by the end of November, but the recent wet pitches meant this was impossible, so it seemed the most logical way of progressing.
CP Llanandras will now travel to Hinton Reserves for their Bucknell Cup first-round tie on Tuesday 22 December when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
Again, there have been a couple of attempts to play this tie but these, too, have fallen victim to waterlogged pitches.
It is hoped to rearrange the Sparey Cup first-round tie between CP Llanandras and Leominster Town Reserves for early in January, with the winners of that match due to host Shobdon in the last eight.
