All three games called off

The weather has laid claim to all three scheduled matches involving Presteigne sides this afternoon.

A pitch inspection at Llanandras Park on Saturday morning merely served to confirm the inevitable – there was no way the derby game against Newbridge could go ahead and so that one will join the list of matches to be rearranged.

Presteigne Reserves’scheduled top-of-the-table clash in the Mid Wales League (South) match at Llandrindod Wells became an early victim of the freezing weather conditions.

While I am not quite sure at what stage on Friday the decision was taken, Barry’s text informing me the game was off reached me in Galway at about 6.30pm, so presumably the partners of reserve-team players will now be expecting better Christmas presents as the lads will have extra time to hit the shops…. but then again, maybe not!

Given the heavy frost overnight, it was no great surprise to learn that CP Llanandras’ scheduled trip to Builth Wells was also frozen off with that decision coming on Saturday morning.

A reminder that the music night as organised by Will Edwards will go ahead as scheduled – for more details see the drop down menu on the Social Events page, while the Christmas Draw will take place in the Farmers Inn on Sunday 20 December at around 9.00pm.
