All of Saturday’s scheduled league and league cup matches in both the Spar Mid Wales League and Mid Wales League (South) were postponed.
Given the icy blasts that have hit the area in recent days, this will not come as any major surprise to anyone, but will inevitably add to the problems faced by the respective league secretaries as they look to reschedule the games for later in the season.
Llanandras Park will probably have its quietest Christmas period for years as there are no home matches scheduled for Boxing Day, with the first team due to head to Hay St Marys, and the Reserves facing a trip to Knighton Town.
It is likely there will be a game at the ground on Monday 28 December as CP Llanandras are due to take on Radnor Valley in a Mid Wales League (South) match, although clearly this will depend on the weather.
The club is seeking confirmation from the League’s officials that they have no problem with CP Llanandras switching the game from their registered ground on the John Beddoes School field, but it is thought this is not likely to be a major issue.
That game is due to kick off at 2.00pm. Previews of all of the scheduled Christmas games will appear on this site later in the week.
