Presteigne St Andrews FC will send out both teams for their final pre-season matches on Saturday, 9 August when both management teams will be looking for encouraging signs ahead of the ‘real stuff’.
The first team will head to Hinton FC for their last warm-up game with Jamie Allen and Adie Bennett reportedly fairly happy with the way things are starting to come together.
There was a good win over Leominster Town and then a very healthy victory over Weobley at Llanandras Park earlier in the week.
But Hinton on their own ground at Broomy Hill are likely to prove a serious test and so the first team are probably going to have to step things up another level.
The kick off at Hinton will be at 3.00pm so if you are in the Hereford area and fancy taking a look, then I am sure you would be made very welcome.
As for the Reserves, they will take on Builth Wells Reserves in their final warm up match at Llanandras Park where the kick off will be at 2.30pm
Manager Mark Weiland has been away on holiday – good lad, get them in before the season starts – and will be keen for his side to put in a good showing against a Builth side that is usually among the stronger sides in the Mid Wales League (South).
The admission prices for the Reserves’ game will be the usual £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.
