No doubt there will not be too many people surprised to hear that all three of the club’s matches scheduled for Saturday 2 January have been postponed.
It needed only a cursory glance at the Llanandras Park pitch for officials to decide the first team match against Rhayader Town that was scheduled for Llanandras Park this afternoon should be postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Similarly, the Mid Wales League (South) match between CP Llanandras and Talgarth Town that was due to be played on the John Beddoes School field has also been called off.
The Reserves were due to be at Montgomery Town in the fourth round of the Emrys Morgan Cup and the home side deferred a final decision on whether that game was to go ahead until around 11.30am.
But that second inspection led to that match also being called off so it will be yet another blank weekend for Presteigne St Andrews.
It is likely Barry’s Reserves will now make the trip to Montgomery on Saturday 16 January as the home side are in Central Wales Cup action next weekend, but this is yet to be confirmed.
