The club website – what next?

animated_computerThere was a time when this website used to be largely dedicated to football, but the weather of the last few Saturdays has put paid to that, so now would seem a good time to turn our attention to what club members and supporters feel about the website and how they would like to see it develop in the future.

We have been up and running for almost six months and I am certainly not after false praise while all constructive criticism will be taken on board – with the emphasis on the word ‘constructive'(!).  However, I am also on the look out for suggestions for other items that could be included on the site.

These need to be practical as there is only one of me and I work full time (and then some..), but if there is an aspect you feel could be included and that is not going to take an eternity to produce, then email the site and let me know.

A few answers to a few frequently asked questions:

‘Can we have a fixtures section for each team?’ – You could, but the problem is that these change at very short notice – especially in the Mid Wales League (South) – and so it is difficult to keep it up to date.    The snow is likely to add to this problem, hence the links to the BBC Wales site.

‘Can we have a results section for each team?’ – Yes, that is the next thing I have planned and hope to start on that in the next week or so.

‘What about profiles of players?’ – I am looking at this for next season – to be honest, Tim was so busy assembling a first-team squad so close to the start of the season that it would have been pointless trying to put one up as it would only have had to be changed again.

I would like to place on record my thanks to all four managers for putting up with me badgering them for match reports and previews; Paula Bufton and Dot Griffiths for photos and others for various reports and information for the Social Events page, and George Lancett for his ideas and material for the history page.  Keep them coming…!

So, over to you as it is your site, I am merely ‘King Spider’ of this particular corner of the web – if there is something you would like to see included, then let me know.
