Presteigne St Andrews’ Central Wales Cup opponents Technogroup Welshpool Town are due to hold an open meeting later in the month to discuss the club’s future direction.
However well their first team does over the second half of the FAW Premier League season, they are destined for relegation as they have decided not to apply for the FAW’s domestic licence and so will be excluded from the top division.
While it will be Welshpool’s Reserve side that heads to Llanandras Park when the tie is eventually played, the ramifications of the meeting will clearly have a major effect on everyone connected with the Maes y Dre club.
It is due to take place on Sunday 31 January at the Angel in Berriew Street and will get underway at 7.30pm.
Club officials say they are seeking the views of all fans as they feel the club is at a crossroads.
