A Saturday-afternoon home game to round off the November fixtures

Five home games in the remaining seven

We now know the first-team fixtures for the remaining seven matches of the Spar Mid Wales League, second-division season.

Our thanks to league secretary Phil Woosnam for furnishing us with the necessary information which confirms that five or of last seven games will be at Llanandras Park.

It also confirms that – if everything goes according to schedule between now and the end of April – we will finish up to a fortnight ahead of some clubs in our division.

We now have three successive home matches starting with Newbridge on Saturday, 5 March and then Kerry followed by Churchstoke.

Easter will be blank with no game on either Saturday, 26 or Monday, 28 March.

Into the final month of the season, and we will head to Dyffryn Banw on Saturday, 2 April, followed by a trip to Borth United a week later.

This fixture is dependent on Borth not progressing at Abermule in the quarter-finals of the ER Jenkins Cup as – were they to do so – then the semi-final tie is scheduled for 9 April.

This would mean a rearranged trip to the Ceredigion coast for our boys and this would likely be either on a Sunday or midweek as Borth are ‘gainfully employed’ on all remaining Saturdays of the season.

But we will cross that (Devil’s) bridge when we get to it and assume that – at the moment – we are off to Borth on 9 April.

We will round off the season at home to Four Crosses on Saturday, 16 April.
