Disappointment for the Reserves at The Broadway

My thanks to Reserve-team joint-manager John Bright for sending through his thoughts on the 4-1 defeat at Llandrindod Wells Reserves in their Mid Wales League (South) game on Saturday, 5 March.

“After going one-down to a good goal after 30 minutes, we equalised on the stroke of half-time through a Tom Hooper free kick from 25 yards,” said John.

“But we shot ourselves in the foot in the second half giving away a penalty and then – as we chased the game – we got caught out with two more goals.

“On another day with our normal team we might have had a different result, but consistency in selection is not something that we have had the luxury of in recent times,” he added.

The Reserves will have no match this week as they face a blank weekend in terms of the league programme.

They will next be in action on Saturday, 19 March when they will make the trip to Newcastle for another Mid Wales League (South) fixture.
