Presteigne St Andrews FC’s vice-chairman Tom Ammonds has confirmed they plan to make a pitch inspection on Wednesday, 8 February.
This is ahead of the scheduled Mid Wales League (South) game between Presteigne Reserves and Hay St Mary’s Reserves.
Parts of the pitch were wet on Tuesday and much will depend on just how much more rain we get overnight.
“We are planning on taking a look on Wednesday and, of course, we’ll give it every chance,” said Tom.
“But we need to balance this with being fair to Hay St Mary’s and their players as they will need to know in good time.
“Let’s hope we don’t get too much more rain and also that the temperatures don’t drop off too much overnight,” he added.
We will post details on the outcome of that pitch inspection online just as soon as that information comes to hand.
