Presteigne St Andrews FC’s Spar Mid Wales League, second-division fixture against leaders Kerry will go ahead as scheduled on Saturday, 11 February.
A pitch inspection at 10.30am revealed the Llanandras Park playing surface to be ‘wet, but playable’ – although those doing the inspection put in the rider that there is more rain forecast for the afternoon.
Kerry will clearly be a major threat as they are going very well this season.
They are six points clear of second-placed Borth United although the Seasiders do have a game in hand.
Their away record this season is impressive – eight wins from their nine games so far with the only blemish coming at Borth where they were beaten 2-1.
The first-team game will kick off at 2.30pm and the admission charges will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
The Reserves’ scheduled Mid Wales League (South) fixture at Newcastle has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
It is hoped to have details of the first team match up online later on Saturday evening.
