Mid Wales League (Secretary) Paul Worts has confirmed there have been changes to the February fixtures as he looks to work around the problems caused by postponements in both the Central Wales and Emrys Morgan Cups.
Barry Williams’ Reserves had been due to head to Talgarth Rovers on Saturday 6 February but they will now instead travel to Penybont United.
The club will have something of a ‘Racecourse double-header’ that weekend as, in addition to the Reserves’ trip there on the Saturday, CP Llanandras will head to Penybont United on Sunday 7 February.
The only possible reason the Reserves might not head to Penybont on 6 February is if the ‘bont win their postponed Emrys Morgan Cup tie at Rhayader Town Reserves that is due to be played on Tuesday 26 January, and are then told to play their fourth-round tie on that date, so ‘watch this space’.
Meanwhile, Montgomery Town’s reward for their Emrys Morgan Cup win over Presteigne Reserves is an away trip to Bettws or Aberaeron in the last eight. Llandrindod Wells will head to Lampeter, while Talgarth Rovers are also away – they travel to Crannog. Bishops Castle will host either Penybont United, Rhayader Town Reserves or Kerry.
