Presteigne Reserves will return to Mid Wales League (South) action on Friday, 24 August when they will head to Hay St Mary’s Reserves.
My thanks to joint-manager Mark Weiland who has sent me his pre-match thoughts on this one as well as the vital team news.
“We are without Darryl Gower who is injured, while Terry Williams is unavailable for Friday’s game,” said Mark.
“Tim Office remains a doubt after picking up a knock against Llanidloes while Bobby Bird and Josh Gardner also unavailable.
“Liam Blythe returns to the squad and Robin Baker is with us as he can’t make the first-team game on Saturday.
“I am looking forward to our first league game after a really positive performance up at Llanidloes last week.
“That’s the kind of performance and effort I expect of the lads every week.
“Hay will be a tough game at their place and with them losing there first game in the league, I’m sure they will want to respond and win at home.
“I’m very confident with the squad Stocks [Alan Stocker] and I have, though, and I think we can go and get the 3 points.
“We started slowly in the league last season and don’t want to be chasing the top teams again.”
