My thanks to Presteigne St Andrews FC’s manager Shaun Harris for sending over his thoughts on the Welsh Cup exit at Borth United on Saturday, 1 September.
Shaun felt this had been a good showing by a somewhat makeshift side and, on another day, they could have pushed Borth closer.
“Unfortunately, due to a lack of numbers this proved to be a tough day,” admitted Shaun.
“Credit to the lads who travelled as it was a fairly even game although we did ride our luck a little at times in the first half.
“Borth scored from kick off with a long-range effort and their second was a fairly soft goal that trickled into the bottom corner.
“We had three good chances through Tom Crichton but he was unable to beat the Borth keeper.
“We now look forward to welcoming back lots of key players for our next league fixture.”
