Presteigne St Andrews FC’s manager Shaun Harris admitted it had been another tough afternoon when his side went down 3-1 at home to Montgomery Town on Saturday, 22 September.
Had the side been completely outclassed by the MMP with Norman Lloyd Mid Wales League second-division leaders, then that might have been easier to take but they were in the game for long spells.
“It is so frustrating,” said Shaun. “In the last three or four games we’ve been playing so well.
“We’ve played so well and have looked good on the ball but we just seen to keep getting caught.
“I think the luck’s going to turn eventually but, performance-wise, I can’t fault the lads,” he added.

Presteigne were behind the eight ball very early on in this one when they conceded in only the second minute of the game.
Shaun admits this is becoming a bit of a habit and they need to get out of it as quickly as possible.
“That’s something that we can’t seem to shake at the moment; we did it at Dolgellau – we just seem to fall asleep,” said Shaun.
“For me, that comes down to mentality; we haven’t won games recently.
“We almost want to have a look at the opposition first; we sit off and then suddenly we realise we’re better than we thought we were and we come alive.”
Shaun felt there were plenty of plus points to take from this performance, especially in the fact new striker Curtis Williams had opened his goal-scoring account for the club.
But he accepts they need to put a win on the board very soon – and says this had to be the main focus of the league trip to Dyffryn Banw on Saturday, 29 September.
