Once again, my thanks to first-team manager Shaun Harris for forwarding me his thoughts in the light of the 1-0 defeat at Dyffryn Banw on Saturday, 29 September.
“It was a case of another frustrating afternoon for the lads and me at Dyffryn Banw,” he admitted.
“We fell behind early in this game from a good free kick put into our box.
“We were out-jumped and the resulting knock down was smashed into the top corner of our goal.
“Ultimately, this was one of Banw’s two – maybe three – shots on target.
“We had three cleared off the line, hit the post and had several very close shots go just wide of the post while their keeper also made some good saves.
“We tried everything in the second half but the 11 men of Banw managed to hang on to the the lead.
“I can feel people losing patience with me and our results at the moment but take it from me we aren’t taking defeat lightly.
“Football can sometimes be a game of luck and she isn’t with us at the moment.
“We as team feel we should have had 7 points from our last 3 games and have finished with nothing.
“I know we are better than some of these teams we are losing against which means things will change very soon.
“This is a position I’m finding hard to deal with at the moment and feel gutted for the lads.
“The hardest thing is telling them every week how much they’ve improved but not getting the rewards.
“We are doing most things right apart from scoring enough goals to bring home the points.”
