Thanks to the Reserves’ joint-manager Mark Weiland who has forwarded me his thoughts on Friday night’s defeat by Llandrindod Wells Reserves in the Mid Wales League (South) fixture at Llanandras Park.
“We had a brilliant start to the game through a great strike from Tim Office from outside the box,” said ‘Weedo’.
“They equalised about five minutes later, but we then got back in front through Owen Williams.
“But Llan’dod went straight back down the other end and scored a bullet header from a corner.
“Llan’dod then went in front early in the second half after sloppy marking on another corner.
“We threw everything at them in the last 20 minutes but couldn’t find an equaliser.
“It was a much better performance and we probably deserved a point.
“To be fair to Llan’dod, they defended really well and were better than us at defending corners – that proved the difference.”
