Presteigne Reserves take a break from league action on Saturday, 6 October when they will make the long trip to Bow Street Reserves for their J Emrys Morgan Cup first-round tie.

My thanks to joint-manager Mark Weiland who has been in touch with the team news ahead of the game.

“Billy Hyett is still not ready yet as can still feel his hamstring but hopefully be back for next week,” says Mark.

“Shane Griffiths and Terry Williams are unavailable as well.

“Keeper Toby Devereux has returned to University in Cardiff and, while he can play some games in the future, he is unavailable tomorrow.

“He will be a big miss as he’s been our best player in last few weeks and has a bright future ahead of him.

“Tom Lewis returns to the squad after missing last week’s game due to a wedding.

“Looking at Bow Street Reserves’ league form; well, they haven’t got a point yet but there are some good sides in their league.

“We did improve slightly last week against Llan’dod but haven’t won for five games so, to be honest, anything could happen up there tomorrow.

“It’s always a good cup in which to have a run hopefully we can do so this time.”
