Mark Weiland has confirmed he has stepped down at joint-manager of Presteigne Reserves.

Mark has confirmed this is largely down to a change in his personal circumstances.

“I stepped down yesterday morning as I am now moving into the house I have been renting out,” said Mark.

“So, in order to cover the mortgage, I am going to have to work some weekends.

“As a result, I can’t commit to every Saturdays and so I don’t think it’s fair to continue in the job.

“I plan to stay on the committee and, maybe, after being involved in the football side of things for so long, it might be good for me to have a break.

“Alan Stocker will continue in the role and he’ll look to bring someone in to assist him.”

I am sure everyone at the Club would like to thank ‘Weedo’ for his efforts over the years in which he has managed both the first team and the Reserves.

It’s good to hear that he intends to remain involved in club life and I am sure the Committee will find him plenty to do!
