A disappointing day for Shaun at Rhayader

My thanks to first-team manager Shaun Harris who has sent me his thoughts on the 2-0 MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second-division defeat at Rhayader Town on Saturday, 24 November.

It was to prove another frustrating day for Shaun and the squad but thoughts are already turning to their next game in which they will head to Waterloo Rovers on Saturday, 1 December.

A reminder – if you are planning on heading to Waterloo for that game then it is scheduled to kick off at the earlier time of 2.00pm.

But back to Shaun and his take on the goings-on at the Weirglodd last time out:

“We went with only one substitute due to Curtis Williams having to pull out at the last minute for personal reasons so it was tol late to call anyone else up,” said Shaun.

“The first half was a game of few chances for both teams but, in the second half, I would say Rhayader were the better side.

“Our best moments came on the break and, while the lads defended well, we lacked any cutting edge in the final third of pitch.

“We’ve picked up two more injuries in Adam Crowe and Rory Hackett.

“Adam is likely to miss Saturday’s game while Rory is no better than 50-50 in terms of his chances of figuring.”
