Presteigne St Andrews FC would like to wish all players, supporters and committee members a very Happy Christmas.
While it hasn’t been the easiest of seasons so far, it’s to be hoped the second half of the campaign will see an upturn in fortunes for both sides.
But there have been some outstanding results along the way – certainly, early in the season the Reserves seemed to be scoring goals for fun.
The football will return in full force on Boxing Day when Shaun Harris will take the first team to Hay St Mary’s for a MMP with Norman Lloyd League second-division game.
Hay are currently second in the table so they’ll clearly be a tough nut to crack – especially on their own Forest Road ground.
That game is scheduled to kick off at 2.30pm so here’s hoping the first-team squad doesn’t overdo the turkey and ‘falling down juice’ on Christmas Day!
Here’s hoping the first team can get the festive period off to a flying start as they’ll then be back in action at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 29 December when Dyffryn Banw will be the visitors.
