A home defeat to round off 2018

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s hopes of ending 2018 on a high note foundered at Llanandras Park when they were beaten 1-0 by visiting Dyffryn Banw.

Shaun Harris and his squad would have been looking to turn around their recent fortunes in this one on Saturday, 29 December but it wasn’t to be.

So, we will end the year second-bottom of the MMP with Norman Lloyd second-division table with eight points from our opening 15 league matches.

It has been a frustrating season for all concerned so far so it’s to be hoped 2019 brings with it a change of fortune and the club can start climbing the league table.

The opening game of the new year will be on Saturday, 5 January when we will welcome Machynlleth to Llanandras Park for a league match.

The kick off will be at 2.30pm and admission prices will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
