Presteigne St Andrews FC will usher in the new year with a game against Machynlleth at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 5 January.
A casual look at the MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second-division table would tell you that the first team could seriously do with taking something from this game.
Machynlleth aren’t having the best of times themselves although they are three points and two places better off than Presteigne in the league table while they also have three games in hand.
It’s to be hoped the fact the Reserves had to call off their game will mean manager Shaun Harris will have plenty of players to call on for this one – not least, of course, because it’s a home game and so travelling isn’t a major factor.
The sides met in the opening game of the league season when goals from Duane Anning and Sam Roberts earned Presteigne a point from a 2-2 draw up at Mach.
The admission prices for this one will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
