No joy at home to the Red Kites

Presteigne St Andrews FC were beaten 4-2 by visiting Rhayader Town in their MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second division game on Saturday, 26 January.

Despite the recent improved form that had led to 3-3 draws against both Hay St Mary’s and Abermule, Shaun Harris’ side was unable to make home advantage count.

As yet, I don’t have too many details on the game but as soon as I do I will get them up online.

Shaun will be keen for the players to put that one firmly behind the as they build into their next game – a trip to Aberystwyth University on Saturday, 2 February.

The students are the only side below Presteigne in the second division table and they are yet to win a league match this season.

Given the Uni are yet to win a game and Presteigne are yet to win away from home in the league, I am tempted to suggest something has to give this weekend – here’s hoping it’s Presteigne returning home with their first three-point haul.

There will be more detailed preview of the game later in the week.
