Before anyone starts thinking we are minted and are handing out cash to our senior figures for the fun of it, we ought to put this into some kind of context.
First of all, congratulations to our President, Mr Edward Traylor on his 80th birthday and it was good to see the first team mark the occasion by coming up with a home victory.
Then, on top of that, Edward found out he had scooped the top prize in the February draw for Presteigne St Andrews FC’s 100 Club.
The latest draw – with ‘Drawmeister General’ Les Pitt presiding – took place in the Royal Oak on Friday, 22 February.
