Tuesday night’s committee meeting was informed it had been requested that, rather than playing away at Penparcau on Saturday 6 February as originally planned, that we be prepared to host the game at Llanandras Park.

Penparcau have informed the Spar Mid Wales League it is unlikely their pitch would be in any fit state to host a game on the weekend as it took a fair bit of hammer during the League Cup quarter-final against Hay St Marys last weekend.

There was at least an extra half-hour of football on Penparcau’s pitch as that game went to extra time before Hay prevailed on penalties.

The committee agreed – given the fixture backlog – it made sense to go along with the switch, so Penparcau will visit Llanandras Park, with Presteigne St Andrews now heading to Penparcau on Saturday 20 March.

It is promising to be a busy Sunday as well, as both the Reserves and CP Llanandras will now have home games.

The Reserves were always due to be at home for the second half of their Mid Wales League (South) double-header – they will host Sennybridge at Llanandras Park.

But CP Llanandras had been due to head to Penybont United for their game – however that game has now been switched to the John Beddoes School field as Penybont Ladies are also due to be at home on that day.
