Presteigne St Andrews FC will host Hereford Under 18s in a pre-season game at Edgar Street on Tuesday, 30 July.
This will be the Charity Cup final and it’s hoped there will be a good turnout for the fixture.
The kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 7.30pm and, rather than there being a fixed admission price, spectators will be asked to donate money to a bucket collection that will be going around the ground in the course of the evening.
Rather than adopting the policy of recent weeks in which everyone who has turned up has had game time, manager Terry Williams has named a squad for tonight’s game but he’s stressing that those not featuring this evening still have plenty to offer.
“As we are only two weeks away from our first game, I’m going to pick a squad for tonight’s game so I can see where we are at and be able to play without making 10 changes,” he said.
“We really appreciate everyone who has turned up and made themselves available and can assure you all that the door isn’t closed for anyone.
“We are running the club in the right way and that means at some point we have to make difficult choices and pick teams based on that game.”
So, it will be a 7.30pm kick off tonight and, as well as seeing how our preparations are going, it will be a good chance to run the rule over some of the brightest young talent at Hereford’s disposal.
