Presteigne St Andrews FC have their first MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second-division win of the season after they beat Knighton Town 3-0 at Llanandras Park on Friday, 30 August.
This was a big game for both sides as neither had started the season well and so both clubs would certainly have been eyeing this one as a good opportunity.
While no one player makes a side, there is no getting away from the fact that Tom Crichton certainly made a difference as he scored a hat-trick to ensure Terry Williams’ side took the three points from this one.
Every bit as pleasing for Terry will be the clean sheet – Presteigne’s first of the season.
Well done to everyone involved in what was a great night both on and off the pitch.
While the players were doing the business inside the white lines, our thanks should go to the committee members and helpers who ensured the evening ran smoothly off the field.
A large crowd turned out for the game and it was good to see so many there supporting their respective teams.
A reminder that the Reserves will be in action on Saturday, 31 August when they will host Llandrindod Wells Reserves in a Mid Wales League (South) game at Llanandras Park.
