Presteigne St Andrews were held to a 2-2 draw by visiting Penparcau, although at half-time they would probably gladly have taken that result.

Two goals down early in the second half, Presteigne raised their game after this and drew level courtesy of goals from Gareth Mansell and Nick Evans, while the visitors had a man sent off for two yellow cards.

It was not a great day for Barry Williams’ Reserves side who slipped to a surprise 3-0 defeat at Penybont United, although Barry had always felt this was likely to be a tough game.

CP Llanandras were also beaten as title-hopefuls Builth Wells proved too strong for them on the John Beddoes School field.  Builth ran out 5-0 winners.

Both the Reserves and CP Llanandras will return to action on Sunday 7 February when the Reserves will host Sennybridge and CP Llanandras will entertain Penybont United and there are brief previews of those games up on the respective teams’ pages on the site.
