Another weekend rolls around and here’s hoping the weather behaves itself a bit better this time around after last Saturday saw the matches for both the first team and the Reserves called off due to waterlogged pitches.
Saturday, 26 October will see the first team head to Welshpool for a match against Waterloo Rovers.
This is part one of a ‘double-header’ as Waterloo will then head to Llanandras Park on Saturday, 2 November for a first-round tie in the ER Jenkins Cup.
Waterloo will probably fancy their chances of completing a league double after they won the opening MMP with Norman Lloyd league, second-division fixture 8-1 in what was Presteigne’s first game of the season back in August.
It’s a measure of the size facing Terry Williams’ side that Waterloo have played only five league matches so far this season – and yet they have won all five so sit comfortably in mid-table.
Waterloo haven’t played a league game this month – their only scheduled game so far was at Dolgellau on Saturday, 12 October but that one was called off.
They did, though, progress in the League Cup – and with a bit to spare – after they saw off visiting Llansantffraid by five goals to one.
Meanwhile, the Reserves don’t have a game this weekend and so they can build towards their next scheduled outing which will be at St Harmon on Saturday, 2 November.
