After the Reserves’ scheduled home game against Hay St Mary’s Reserves on Friday, 15 November was called off all attention turns to this weekend’s first-team fixture.
Terry Williams will take his side to Newbridge-on-Wye for their Central Wales Cup tie on Saturday, 16 November.
Early indications are that, despite the biblical levels of rainfall in the past 48 hours or so, Newbridge are confident the game will go ahead as planned.
This has the makings of being another stiff test for the first team as Newbridge have been going well this season.
They are currently second in the league table with a record of seven wins from nine second division outings this season.
They have been especially impressive on their own pitch with four wins from four.
Their last outing was in the ER Jenkins Cup on Saturday, 2 November in which they beat visiting Dyffryn Banw 3-2.
If you are heading up to Newbridge for this one, a reminder the game is due to kick off at 2.00pm.
It’s hoped to have the result up here at some stage on Saturday evening but here’s hoping the first team can upset the odds and come away with the points.
