Presteigne Reserves were beaten 3-1 in their Mid Wales League (South) game at Talgarth Town on Saturday, 23 November.
This was always likely to be a tough game as Talgarth have been going pretty well in the league this season.
In fact, the win over Bryn Roberts’ side took them into second place in the table.
But the Reserves reportedly put up a good showing in that they were in the game for long periods before eventually falling to two relatively late goals.
This defeat leaves the Ressies in 10th place in the 13-club division.
There was no damage done to their league position as, in the day’s only other surviving fixtures, two of the clubs below them were also beaten.
St Harmon went down 2-1 at home to Llandrindod Wells Reserves while there was a 4-1 defeat for Felindre in their game at Builth Wells Reserves.
