Presteigne St Andrews FC were beaten 3-1 in their MMP with Norman Lloyd League second-division match at Churchstoke on Saturday, 30 November.
Presteigne were second-best in the first half in which the home side opened up a 3-0 lead.
But, to their credit, Presteigne St Andrews rallied after the break and they did reduce the deficit when Tom Crichton scored.
But that was as good as it got for the first team in this one and so attention will now turn to the next match in which they will host Penparcau on Saturday, 7 December.
As for the Reserves, Roy Simcock took charge for their J Emrys Morgan Cup second-round tie at home to Llanfyllin Town.
The tie has twice been postponed but they did manage to play it at the third attempt.
Sadly, it wasn’t to be for the Reserves as they went down 2-0.
This coming weekend will see the Reserves head to Brecon Northcote for a Mid Wales League (South) fixture where the kick off will be at 2.00pm.
