Presteigne St Andrews FC will be back in MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second-division action on Saturday, 7 December.
Alan Stocker will take charge of the side for the first time when they host Penparcau at Llanandras Park in a game due to kick off at 2.00pm.
Alan has agreed to step up as first-team boss following the departure of Terry Williams and he knows this could prove a tough baptism against what is clearly a strong Penparcau squad.
Nine league games, nine wins, 27 points and top the table says just about says all there is to say regarding our visitors.
Oh, and you can add in 40 goals scored in those nine games and only 10 conceded.
So, a tough start for Alan’s reign as manager in prospect, but a chance for the squad to do what no other side has managed so far this season and take something from Penparcau.
As for the Reserves, they are on the road for their Mid Wales League (South) fixture in which they will head to Brecon Northcote.
While Brecon Corries have stolen most of the headlines at this level this season, Northcote are having a solid season of their own – they are currently fourth in the league table.
In their last outing they beat visiting Newcastle 2-1 while, previous to that, they drew 2-2 at Hay St Mary’s Reserves.
Were they to win this one, then Bryn Roberts’ side could well be back in touch with the clubs immediately above them.
Presteigne Reserves currently top a ‘mini-table’ at the foot of the division that is four points adrift of fifth-bottom Newcastle so they’ll be aiming to close that gap as quickly as possible.
If you are heading to Llanandras Park for the first-team game then the admission prices will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
