While both Presteigne Reserves and CP Llanandras had good Sunday results, Builth Wells and Newcastle had the most to smile about after the double-header weekend of Mid Wales League (South) action as they both recorded two victories in as many days.
By my reckoning, Builth have gone top after they were 4-0 winners in the derby game against Builth Wednesdays and so will have overhauled Rhosgoch Rangers who didn’t have a game on either day.
Newcastle also had a productive couple of days – they followed up their away win at Hay St Marys Reserves on Saturday with a 2-1 home success over Penybont Athletic.
There was no shortage of goals at Newbridge Reserves who shared eight goals with bottom side St Harmon, but you have to have sympathy for Radnor Valley who had a weekend to forget.
After they were beaten 11-2 at Talgarth Town on Saturday they were on the wrong end of another hiding on Sunday when they went down 10-0 at home against Knighton Town.
