The long-awaited return of football to Llanandras Park saw Presteigne St Andrews FC battle out a one-all draw with visiting Brecon FC.
Owen Anning was on target for the home side who took a one-nil lead into half-time.
But Brecon hit back to level the game after the break in what was obviously a very welcome and useful work out for both clubs after such a long lay off.
Unfortunately the current regulations mean spectators are not allowed into Llanandras Park at this point but this situation will be reviewed as soon as is practicable.
The next friendly will be on Friday, 11 June when Talgarth Town are due to visit Llanandras Park.
I hope to have some reaction to tonight’s game and performance from manager John Haycox in the next day or so.
But the good news is – football is back – even if we’re not yet allowed in to watch it. Hopefully it won’t be long before that situation changes and we can get back to taking in a game at Llanandras Park.
