Well, they are up up until Christmas but, to be fair to the league secretary, this is much more long term than we are used to.
If you want to take a look at the league fixtures, you can do so either by clicking here, or by hovering your cursor over the ‘First Team’ tab at the top of the page and then clicking on this season’s fixture list from the drop down menu that will appear.
The season will start with a FAW Cup tie in which we have been drawn away from home – but at least there won’t be too much travelling involved.
John Haycox will take his squad to Radnor Valley for our opening game of the season on Saturday, 10 July.
The league season will then open on the following Tuesday night when the first team will be off to Forest Road for a game against Hay St Marys.
The FAW Amateur Trophy begins the following Saturday – 17 July – when we will have our first home game of the season in which we will take on – yes, you’ve guessed it – Radnor Valley at Llanandras Park.
This will be followed by our first home league match of the season in which Bishops Castle will visit Llanandras Park on Wednesday, 21 July when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
League officials are clearly concerned about the possibility of another lockdown as they have rammed in lots of games between now and Christmas.
If we were to have brief runs in both the FAW Cup and the Trophy and if the weather is reasonably kind to us, then we could have played 19 of our 28 league games by 27 December.
This is understandable to a degree but, there is surely a very real danger of some clubs not having much football beyond March.
