Presteigne St Andrews FC will return to pre-season action on Wednesday, 21 July when they will take on Bishops Castle at Llanandras Park.
The kick off will be at 7.30pm and spectators will be allowed into the game while the bar will be open.
Everyone attending is asked to remember that Covid-19 regulations are still very much in place and so you are asked to cooperate with club officials regarding requests for track and trace details etc.
As for the game itself, Presteigne will be looking to build on their impressive showing in the FAW Amateur Trophy tie against Radnor Valley when they pushed Radnor all the way before losing in a dramatic penalty shoot out.
Bishops Castle should provide another stiff test – they have been promoted to the MMP with Norman Lloyd Mid Wales League East for this season.
‘Castle’ have been knocking on the door for a number of years but the long-running cross-border bureaucratic nonsense that has also affected clubs such as Bucknell and Newcastle previously prevented them from joining the Welsh set up.
But that is now behind them and they appear to be an upwardly mobile club so they should provide a good challenge for John Haycox’s side this evening.
So, kick off will be at 7.30pm and it’s looking like it will be a lovely evening for watching football, so why not get down to Llanandras Park, have a glass of something nice and cold and give the lads your support?
