CP lose by the odd goal in five – Presteigne play Saturday

A tough day on the road

It’s off to Holme Lacy on Saturday

CP Llanandras’ pre-season game against Felindre ended in a 3-2 defeat for Bryn Roberts and Roy Simcock’s side, but the general view was that there were plenty of plus points to take from the performance.

CP led 2-1 at half-time with Gareth Bull putting Llanandras in front – as yet, I don’t have the details of the other scorer.

But Felindre hit back after the break and turned the game around to run out 3-2 victors.

But those who were there report it was an entertaining affair and it will certainly give the management team something to build on.

Saturday, 21 August will see attention turn to Presteigne St Andrews as they head to Holme Lacy for their pre-season game.

This is the last scheduled warm up match for John Haycox’s side so they will be looking to put the finishing touches to their preparations before it all starts for real.

The kick off at Holme Lacy is scheduled for 2.30pm.
