Well done to John Haycox’s Presteigne St Andrews side who came from a goal down at half-time to book their place in the next round of the Radnorshire Cup in a lively game at Llanandras Park on Tuesday, 19 October.
Talgarth Town were the visitors for this one and – as in the league meeting earlier in the season – there was to be no shortage of drama.
Back then, Presteigne had been three goals up only to lose four-three, but it was a different affair this time as the home side went in one-nil down at half-time.
But a sterling second-half performance saw Presteigne win through by three goals to two with Lewis Jones netting twice and Sam Davies also finding the net.
Well done to all involved – it’s always good to get through in the County Cup and hopefully this result will help the side build confidence for the upcoming matches.
But there will be little time for the players to bask in the glory of this one as they are back into action on Friday, 22 October.
Brecon FC will be the visitors to Llanandras Park for a Mid Wales League (South) fixture when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
