Presteigne St Andrews FC members were saddened to learn of the passing of Pat Watkins in the run up to Christmas.
Pat and her husband Jack both made an enormous contribution to the club over a number of years.
They did a lot of work with the junior section, but Jack went on to manage the first team squad for a period while many people would remember Pat as being a huge supporter of the club.
She was a member of the committee and held a number of key positions including a spell as cup secretary.
As with so many people who have contributed over the years, Pat picked up many of the unglamorous jobs that are key to the smooth running of the club.
Pat’s funeral will take place at St Andrews Church in Presteigne on Wednesday, 5 January at midday and will be followed by a private internment at the town’s cemetery.
Donations in Pat’s memory, if desired, can be given to The Bracken Trust.
