CP Llanandras are still searching for that elusive first win of the Mid Wales League (South) season, although they more than played their part in a high-scoring match against Felindre at Llanandras Park on Tuesday, 22 February.
The pitch was passed as playable at 5 o’clock and so, after considerable doubt, it was ‘game on’.
Sadly for the home side, Felindre were to run out five-three winners in this one – a result that lifts them up to seventh in the league table.
I am reliably informed that Hugh Brookes netted a hat-trick for CP Llanandras who will now surely be eyeing up their next league match as being a huge game.
Bryn Roberts’ side will host St Harmon at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 26 February in a game between the division’s two bottom sides.
Victory for CP Llanandras in this one would see them move level on points with the Swifts, so there should be no shortage of incentive.
Presteigne St Andrews will head to Brecon on the same day with both fixtures due to kick off at 2.00pm.
