It was to prove a frustrating weekend for both Presteigne St Andrews FC and CP Llanandras.

Presteigne would have known they were likely to be in for a tough afternoon when they headed to Brecon FC and ultimately that was how it was to turn out.

John Haycox’s side went down 3-0 at a Brecon side that will feel it is still very much in the title race.

Brecon’s win means they are fourth in the table – eight points off the pace but with three games in hand.

Meanwhile, CP Llanandras would have gone into their game at home to St Harmon knowing a win would have taken them level on points with the Swifts at the foot of the table.

But it wasn’t to be as St Harmon took all three points with a 3-0 victory – a result that leaves Bryn Roberts’ side six points adrift at the foot of the table.

Presteigne St Andrews can do CP Llanandras a favour on Saturday, 5 March by ensuring that gap at the foot of the table doesn’t get any bigger as St Harmon will be back at Llanandras Park to take on John Haycox’s side.

CP Llanandras will head over the hill to take on Knighton Town Reserves at Bryn-y-Castell – both matches are due to kick off at 2.00pm.
