We can now confirm the fixture programme for the rest of the Mid Wales League (South) season as it affects our two clubs.
Presteigne St Andrews are going to have a busy April and early May – they still have six fixtures to play.
This run of games will start on Saturday, 16 April when they will head to Newcastle while they will then be back in action the following Wednesday evening – 20 April – when Hay St Mary’s Reserves will visit Llanandras Park for a 7.30pm kick off.
Saturday, 23 April will see John Haycox’s side head ‘up the valley’ for a game against Felindre, while there will be another home game on Wednesday, 27 April when St Harmon will head to ‘Stadio Llanandras’.
Presteigne have no game on Saturday, 30 April, but CP Llanandras do when they will round off their league programme with a trip to St Harmon.
As we head into May it is looking like a potentially tough end to the season for Presteigne St Andrews as they will face back-to-back league games against a Builth Wells Reserves side that has designs on winning the league.
As things stand, Builth Reserves are three points clear of second-placed Penybont United with a game in hand, so there could be plenty riding on those final two matches of the campaign.
The first meeting will be at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 7 May with the return fixture at Lant Field a week later on Saturday, 14 May.
