Tuesday’s training is called off

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s coaching team has announced the training session scheduled for Tuesday, 19 July has been cancelled.

Given the high temperatures over the past day and the fact it’s expected these will continue into the evening, it as decided this course of action was in the best interests of everyone involved.

The irony in all of this as, as I write this, it has just started to rain!

But, as I say, the decision was taken in all good faith earlier today and so that is the way things happen sometimes.

After the opening pre-season game ended in a 1-1 draw at Caersws Reserves, Presteigne St Andrews FC will soon be back into action.

There are two pre-season games scheduled for later in the week and these will both go ahead as planned.

First up, it will be a trip to Builth Wells on Thursday, 21 July, while Saturday will see the squad head to Tenbury Wells for a game against Tenbury United on Saturday afternoon.
