Following Trefonen FC’s decision to pull out of the JD Welsh Cup, we have been handed an away tie in the second-round qualifying.
Corin Jones’ side will be off to Abermule on Saturday, 20 August.
Abermule are well known to us, of course – we have played them in league matches regularly over recent seasons.
We won’t meet them in the league this season as Abermule are in the Central Wales League North in which they are due to open their league campaign on Friday, 5 August.
They will have home advantage for their opener in which they will take on Llansantffraid.
So, it’s a trip to Abermule on Saturday, 20 August for the first team in that Welsh Cup tie.
These are the other second round qualifying fixtures in the central region:
Llandrindod Wells FC v Knighton Town FC
Carno FC v Caersws FC
Penparcau v Montgomery Town FC
Dolgellau AFC v Bow Street
Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant FC v Llanfair United FC
Machynlleth FC v Waterloo Rovers FC
Glantraeth v Barmouth and Dyffryn United FC
