Presteigne Reserves are due to host Newcastle in a Mid Wales League (South) fixture on Wednesday, 9 November.
But, for the benefit of those who don’t live in the LD8 postcode, it’s been ‘monsoon season’ in east Radnorshire in the last 48 hours or so with some very heavy spells of rain.
So, while the game is very much ‘on’ at the moment, committee members are due to take a look at the pitch tomorrow afternoon to ensure it is fit to stage the game.
We will update the site and the club’s social media as soon as we have news of that inspection, but it does seem a sensible precaution.
It has emptied it down for the past couple of days and there are one or two areas of the field that traditionally can cause us issues after periods of heavy rain.
But assuming the game does go ahead, the kick off will be at 7.30pm and your support for the Reserves would be very welcome.
