Presteigne St Andrews FC will be back in Central Wales South action on Saturday, 26 November when they will host Aberystwyth University at Llanandras Park.
The students have made a solid start to their league season and are currently in fifth place in the table.
Aberystwyth University have won five of their eight league games so far this season and so will be a good test for Corin Jones’ side this weekend.
After a four-one defeat at Machynlleth on Saturday, 24 October, the Students have gone on a fine run of five successive victories.
The first win in that run came against Presteigne when the Students ran out five-nil winners.
Since then, the University side have beaten Penybont United eleven-two, while they then won three-one at Aberaeron.
They followed this up with a six-nil home win over Llanilar before running out three-nil victors at Talgarth Town.
The Reserves are also in action on Saturday when they will travel to Felindre for a Mid Wales League (South) game.
It has been a stop-start few weeks for the Reserves and they will be keen to open their account in terms of league points.
This will be Roy Simcock’s side’s fifth league game of the season and they will see this game as being an opportunity given that Felindre are only one place above them in the league table.
To be fair, Felindre are seven points better off than Presteigne and – while they are fourth in a five-team league – they are only two points behind the top side, St Harmon.
Good luck to both sides this weekend and here’s hoping we can end November on a positive note.
